DIRECTIONS & INFORMATION TRAVEL: Please notify the ranch in advance of your travel plans! Check-in time starts 3:00 p.m. Sunday. Check-out time is 10:00 a.m. on Sunday.LIQUOR: If you choose to drink any alcoholic beverages, please bring your own. If you are of age, liquor is sold at licensed outlets in either Wyoming or Montana. We do not have a license to sell liquor at the ranch. PLEASE BRING YOUR OWN: Medications, alcoholic or soft drinks, camera/film, flashlight, and personal necessities. The General Store does carry some basic sundries, along with T-shirts, sweatshirts, caps, Western jewelry, film, fishing flies, postcards, and some gift items. CLOTHING: In addition to comfortable, informal clothing, it is important to bring hard soled shoes or cowboy boots and rain gear for riding. We strongly recommend bringing a hat, a warm sweater, or warm jacket, and gloves. There are some "loaner" boots available. FISHING: We have a great variety of good trout water available to our guests. A good fly rod and an assortment of both dry and wet flies are advisable. Universally good choices are: muddler minnows, royal coachman, humpies, woolie worms, grasshopper flies, adams, irresistibles, and nymph patterns. Appropriate hook sizes are 10 through 16. Daily and season Wyoming fishing licenses may be purchased at the ranch. All Rates are per person, American Plan, and include: Cabin in the aspens with private bath, daily maid service, delicious home-cooked meals, your personal horse, saddle and tack, morning and afternoon rides, all-day rides, cook-outs, brunch rides, hiking trips, children's program during riding hours, breathtaking scenery, ranch chores (if you wish), square dancing, recreative loafing, and much more. Tips are included in the rate and further tipping of our excellent staff is not expected. Please make pre-arrangements for: 1) Airport Valet Service (pick-up and/or delivery) from: Cody, Wyoming (50 miles) at $75/van load or Billings, Montana (125 miles) at $140/van load. 2) Overnight camping trips can be booked after May 15th. Please ask for a price list. 3) After hours child care. (Our Children's Program for children ages 6-12, and our childcare service for ages 1-5, run from 9:15 a.m. - 12:15 p.m. and 1:45-5:00 p.m. at no extra charge.) Airports servicing northern Wyoming are: the Yellowstone Regional Airport in Cody, Wyoming, and the Logan International Airport in Billings, Montana. Driving time from Cody to the 7 D Ranch is about one hour and twenty minutes; from Billings, Montana takes about two and a half hours. Occasionally guests fly into Jackson Hole, Wyoming, or Bozeman, Montana, and enjoy a scenic extra day driving to the ranch. Detailed road directions are provided to guests as needed. |
