Arizona Nature Conservancy Preserves:

• Patagonia - Sonoita Creek: Famous for its bird migration and rare bird nesting. 8 minutes.

• Canelo Hills: Unusual marsh environment known for birds and rare orchids. 45 minutes.

• Ramsey Canyon: Renowned as the area where the most species of hummingbirds in the U.S. are seen. Located in the Huachuca Mountains. 1 hour 15 minutes.

Arizona - Sonora Desert Museum: Exhibits of desert plant and animal life. Near Saguaro National Monument. 1 hour 45 minutes.

Bisbee: Preserved Victorian town, with mine tour. 1 hour 15 minutes.

Colossal Cave: Natural underground caves, guided tours. 45 minutes.

Fishing and Boating: Patagonia Lake and Pena Blanca Lake.

Kartchner Caverns State Park:  Opens November '99 - 7 acres of pristine caverns - 1 hour.

Lochiel, Duquesne, and Harshaw: Old mining towns on scenic back roads. 45 minutes.

Madera Canyon: High in the Santa Rita Mountains, famous spot for birding and hiking. 1 hour 15 minutes.

Mission San Xavier del Bac: Beautiful historic mission dating from the 1700's, near Tucson. 1 hour.

Nogales International Airport: Closest airport for private aircraft. 10 minutes.

Nogales, Mexico: Shopping and dining south of the border. 25 minutes.

Old Tucson: False-front construction of old Tucson where many movies are filmed. 1 hour 25 minutes.

Pima Air Museum: Aviation history and many restored aircraft. 1 hour.

San Raphael Valley: Expansive, and breathtaking views. Site of several old mining camps and traditional cattle ranches. 45 minutes.

Sonoita: Fairgrounds, steer roping, restaurants, shops, La Pradera Mall Shops. 20 minutes.

Tombstone: Old West tourist town, site of Boot Hill. 1 hour.

Tubac: A 1752 historic Spanish town with galleries, shops, clothing, restaurants and a Historic Presidio Park. 45 minutes.

Tucson International Airport: Closest scheduled airline airport. 1 hour 15 minutes.

Tumacacori: 1700's Spanish Mission and museum. 35 minutes.

Vineyards: the nearby Sonoita/Elgin area has over 250 acres of vineyards. Some of the local wineries are open to visitors who wish to sample the local varieties.
