  • Patagonia - Sonoita Creek: Famous for its bird migration and rare bird nesting. 8 minutes.

  • Canelo Hills: Unusual marsh environment known for birds and rare orchids. 45 minutes.

  • Ramsey Canyon: Renowned as the area where the most species of hummingbirds in the U.S. are seen. Located in the Huachuca Mountains. 1 hour 15 minutes.

Arizona - Sonora Desert Museum: Exhibits of desert plant and animal life. Near Saguaro National Monument. 1 hour 45 minutes.

Bisbee: Preserved Victorian town, with mine tour. 1 hour 15 minutes.

Tumacacori: 1700's Spanish Mission and museum. 35 minutes.

Vineyards: the nearby Sonoita/Elgin area has over 250 acres of vineyards. Some of the local wineries are open to visitors who wish to sample the local varieties.
