OTHER INFORMATION What To Bring: When you pack
your suitcase for your ranch vacation, you don't need to take extra
pains packing your fancy duds because you won't need them. We're informal
and want you to dress comfortably and relax. Long-sleeved shirts (protection
from sun), jeans, cowboy boots and if possible cowboy hats. (Baseball
caps do not protect your neck). A good plan is to bring "layers"
for riding. If you don't have boots, a smooth soled shoe is best.
Hiking boots/shoes with heavy lug soles are not safe in stirrups.
Days are Seasons - Temperature: Each month has it's charm. Spring/Fall seasons are generally beautiful. Temperatures are usually in the 70s during the day and 40s at night Spring brings fresh wildflower and Fall finds our aspen trees turning to gold. Summer temperatures are usually in the low to mid 80s during the day and in the 50s at night. Wildflowers continue to show during the whole summer. Elk, deer, ground squirrels, porcupine, chipmunks, marmots and many varieties of birds can be seen throughout the spring, summer and fall. Who Comes To Our Ranch? - At What Age May Children Ride? Family members of all ages - singles, single parents, parents and children, grandparents and grandchildren - will enjoy our ranch vacation. Usually children age 6 who can control their own horse may ride on most regular trails with their parents. Children age 3 through 5 may participate in a special program. Adults and young people alike often make lasting friendships and return again with their special group. |
