Four generations ago, guests arrived here at Covered Wagon Ranch by way of the old Model T and sometimes even by stagecoach. Today, descendants of some of those very same families still come here to experience the mythic beauty of the Old West, in a place that’s very nearly the same as it was back in 1925 when the ranch first opened to guests.

Ours is the oldest continuously operating guest ranch in this canyon, and any changes that have been made are in the interest of the comfort and enjoyment of our guests today. Here, you’ll stay in historic log cabins with their original 1920’s charm, complete with wood-burning stoves and rustic wood furniture, but you’ll also enjoy private baths, great meals and pampered attention from ranch hosts who are happy to cater to your every need. So treasured is this place that it’s become a tradition among families, individuals and couples over the years – in fact, most of our guests are return visitors or their friends and families. With a maximum of twenty-four guests at any one time, each person who visits is given a king’s welcome.
