| Arizona Horseback Vacations
Favorable weather,
varied terrain and spectacular scenery make
the Kay El Bar ideal for some of the finest
horseback riding anywhere. Our professional
wranglers will guide you through thousands of
acres of open desert landscaped with towering
saguaro cactus and desert flora.
Horseback
rides go out twice every day except Sunday and
holidays when the horses have the afternoon
off. We also do all day rides with a picnic
lunch and a mountain brunch ride on Sundays.

Getting to know you |
We
have well-trained horses suitable for all horseback
riding levels. For those new to our riding program,
and children under 13, we give an orientation
which covers the basics of western horseback
riding and familiarizes you with what our horses
know. Children must be seven in order
to ride on the trails.
We
invite you to begin your day with grooming and
getting to know your horse.
Instruction
is an integral part of our horse program with
arena work as well as instruction on the trail.
Our wranglers are dedicated to making sure that
your horseback riding experience emphasizes
safety, fun and learning.
Guest
experience and preference determine the length
and difficulty of the rides. We keep the rides
small, no more than six riders of similar ability,
and do walk, walk-jog and walk-jog-canter rides.
Guests who exceed 240 pounds may have riding
limitations.
Get
along little doggies |
Cattle sorting will be offered weekly. Ride to a nearby
arena and try your hand at sorting cattle. ($20
extra charge)
Look what I did! |
During the holidays
and in the spring, guests are invited to participate
in a fun-filled Dudeo. The Dudeo provides all
ranch guests an opportunity to experience arena
events in a non-competitive format. You might
bring home a ribbon.
Horseback riding
at the Kay El Bar is always a blue ribbon experience! |
