+ SUMMER +

The Ranger Creek Guest Ranch, overlooking Shell Canyon, is deep within the Bighorn National Forest. Guest packages are offered as a three or six night stay from June 15th through September 15th. Horseback Riding is our main activity for guests who have come from all over the world to enjoy the charm and western hospitality Ranger Creek has to offer. Trail rides directly out of the Ranch explore the Bighorn National Forest and Cloud Peak Wilderness Area's, which offer spectacular views, and numerous opportunities for photography and wildlife viewing. Guests may also enjoy a trip to Cody, Wyoming, the Buffalo Bill Historical Center and the Cody Nite Rodeo.

For those who don't like to ride or just want to take a break from riding, Ranger Creek is only minutes away from some of the best trout fishing in the Big Horns. From the high country freestone streams full of rainbow and brook trout to the lower elevations where brown and cutthroat trout prosper, the Ranch offers a variety of fishing for the serious angler's enjoyment.

In addition to our regular ranch activities, guests also have the option of arranging a guided tour for visiting many of the historical sites near the Ranch. Or for the adventurous, get ready for whitewater rafting or just floating down the beautiful Yellowstone River or Shoshoni River.

Various evening entertainment is offered for the whole family, including western dancing and line dancing, wildflower presentation by the Forest Service, and campfires.

Ranger Creek welcomes all: singles, couples, family reunions/corporate retreats, and weddings. Ranger Creek is an excellent choice for your next team building experience! An ideal incentive travel destination for your next corporate meeting. Small groups find Ranger Creek relaxing and a great place to focus.

Ranger Creek offers Guided Wilderness Pack Trips to the Cloud Peak Wilderness Area, but no trips have been planned yet for 2005.

+ WINTER +

Make the Ranger Creek Guest Ranch your destination for your snowmobile outing!

Situated at an elevation of 8,300 feet and with access to more than 1.1 million acres of pine forests, sparkling lakes, and spectacular views within the Bighorn National Forest, Ranger Creek Guest Ranch offers a wide variety of winter activities in a rustic setting.

Winter brings on the adventure of experiencing the mountains on snowmobiles or cross-country skiing. The Ranch is located on the Big Horn Mountain / Northcentral WY trail system, a system of trails (391 miles of trails), of which 342 miles are groomed snowmobile trails. Located along the Paint Rock Trail connecting the Burgess Junction Trail System with the Buffalo/Ten Sleep Trail System, the combined systems make for plenty of off-trail riding. Snowmobile Trail Maps.

The Ranger Creek historic log lodge and cabins provide a unique snowmobiling experience for all. Plenty of good cooking, sledding for kids and more awaits you at Ranger Creek. Located on the P Trail, Ranger Creek is a central location for easy access to the lodge loop in the north and the lodges in the south. Since Ranger Creek sits in a more secluded area of the mountain, many guests prefer the less hectic atmosphere created here. In addition, this area provides for less traveled trails and untouched meadows to play in.

To get to the Ranger Creek in the winter requires over-snow travel for four miles. If you have your own snowmobile we can meet you and escort you, along with your gear, to the Ranch. Or, if you need to rent a snowmobile, we can help.

Other winter activities include cross-country skiing, snowshoeing, or downhill skiing nearby at Antelope Butte Ski Area. Or just relax in the lodge and read a good book or watch a movie.

More comfortable accommodation, quieter night sleeps, less traffic, and home cooked meals. BYOB

With our rates including all three meals, its the best deal on the mountain.
