| We
dine on delicious, healthy home cooked meals together either
in the lodge or at a cook-out. Cozy and pristine accommodations
are offered in the form of log style cabins fully equipped
with en-suite bathrooms. You will awaken in the morning
to the sound of bells as the horses return to the corrals
after a night of grazing.
We strongly believe that the canyon still
holds it’s wild and unique values and we very much
hope that you can share our part of the Big Sky Country
with us.
While the Seven Lazy P ranch (which had
it’s beginnings in 1929, and taken over by Chuck and
Sharon in 1958), is a special use permit located in the
Lewis and Clark National Forest just two short miles above
Deep Canyon. It also has a unique lodge, cabins, tack shed
and corrals, and is where we depart on our adventure pack
trips into the Bob Marshall and Great Bear Wilderness’s.
Deep
Canyon Ranch, which we renovated and re-opened in 1996 is
derived from the ranch’s name back in the 1920’s,
dispenses genuine and authentic western hospitality. Bordered
by National Forest, Bureau of Land Management lands, state
lands and the Nature Conservancy was burned over completely
in the early 1900’s, and has since grown into a stunning
landscape of aspen groves and pine and fir forests. It provides
a wonderful setting for our guests to enjoy the time and
space to explore the uninhabited landscape around us and
you soon become imbibed with a spirit of unadulterated freedom
away from the pressures of normal life.
The squeak of saddle leather, smell of well
worked horses combined with a quiet serenity, overwhelming
vistas and the aroma of wildflowers, pine and spruce forests
create an indescribable sense of well being.
Enjoy everything from trail riding, hiking
and bird watching to gathering wildflowers, floating down
the river on an inner tube or just relaxing with a good
book with nature as your companion.
