FISHING & Fly-Fishing

We have really improved our fishing by leaps and bounds. We now can cater to the first trout experience as well as the experienced old fly fisherman. We've made that first trout easy to catch by stocking ponds at both ranch house pond and the pueblo house pond. So come to the trading post, pick up equipment, walk a few feet, and start hauling them in. We'll even show you how to clean them. Then take them to the kitchen and we'll cook them up.

More experienced fishermen will enjoy trying the miles of streams running through the ranch. We’ve been clearing brush and working with a local shop to make the ranch fishing enjoyable and successful. By mid-summer the high mountain lakes become accessible to those willing to make a tough hike in. For those who have traded in their boots for rods, we have some incredible excursions in our back yard. We are within minutes of the North Fork of the South Platte river and can set-up all day trips any day you like. We will get you hooked in our fly-casting classes Monday & Wednesday nights. No license is required to fish our stocked ponds and we can get a Colorado fishing license at the county store any day of the week.
