| Children | Slide Show Waunita Hot Springs Ranch, located high in the Colorado Rockies 8,946 ft. elevation, is 10 miles west of the Continental Divide. The ranch is surrounded by Gunnison National Forest land and summer pasture. U.S. Forest permits and private leases enable us to ride on, pasture and otherwise enjoy use of thousands of acres in eastern Gunnison County. Buildings at the ranch are a wonderful combination
of new comfort and old charm, spacious and cozy. Carpeted, panelled
guest rooms have private baths, and most have queen beds. . . bunks
and doubles for the kids. The deck spa and 35 x 90 ft. swimming pool
are fed by crystal clear hot springs. The pool is one of the largest
private pools in Western Colorado. . . The barn complex includes a
rec room/music hall. Summers at Waunita are crisp and cool, interrupted by an occasional afternoon thundershower. Flowers and wildlife abound on and near the ranch... Winters are cold enough for snow to cover the ground from November thru March.
