Vehicle trips to the high country are planned for non-riders and for those who want a change of pace. The vehicles are also available to take you to the forest cookout sites, if you choose not to go by horseback.

Fishermen can take advantage of our stocked lakes. Licenses are not required at these sites. However, you will need a license when fishing the area streams and reservoirs. You should bring your own fishing gear, although some fishing gear will be for sale in the gift shop. You'll enjoy the fish try that is a part of the Thursday evening cookout.

Following the Thursday evening cookout at the Canyon Creek forest camp, we'll offer an overnight for those who wish to spend the night "under the stars." You may bring your own sleeping bag for this activity or use one of ours. Tents are provided and foam mats are available.

The evening hayride and marshmallow roast is always fun. And one night each week we'll feature a Western music show. An evening of square dancing is scheduled, complete with instruction for all.

A whitewater raft trip on the Taylor River is offered on Tuesday, as well as a float trip on the Gunnison River. You may choose a morning of shopping in Gunnison or a visit to the Gunnison Pioneer Museum.

Ranch animals, besides our string of fine horses, include lambs, goats, pigs, ducks, chickens, dogs and cats. Younger folks may help with feeding small animals. Please do not bring pets to the ranch.

The many other activities available at the ranch include scenic 4 x 4 trips, evening hayride, overnight campout, fishing, hiking, Gunnison River raft trip, square dancing, rockhunting, softball, movies, slide show, ping-pong, pool, horseshoes and swimming.  A full week's activities are planned for you. . . or you may just choose to relax.

September is a special time in the mountains. The brilliant display of fall colors is a once-a-year show. In October and November guided hunts are provided for a limited number of hunters. From December thru mid-April ranch facilities are available for downhill ski groups, church retreats, or small group meetings.
