Ranch Ramblings
Are we ready for winter?
A sure sign of fall ending is the
gathering and hauling of the cows down to the other ranch. This is
preceeded by the separating of mothers and babies. The calves now
wieghing in at around 700 pounds are ready to continue on without
their mothers. The horses have all been brought in off pasture and
prepared for the next few months of dry feeding. The foals,
yearlings, and two year olds, are placed in separate pens so they
can recieve their special diet needed to obtain optimal growth.
Roley and Brad have been busy winterizing everything and they have
brought out the sleighs for winter fun. At this time we have just a
small covering of snow which is a vivid reminder of things to come.
We are looking forward to the sound of sleigh bells and fun to be
had by all ages as we begin our sleigh riding season.
Summer Fun!!
I just want to take this opportunity
to thank all our summer guests. We have had a great time meeting
some of you for this first time and as always enjoy welcoming back
our returning guests. For those of you that have reservations with
us and will be arriving at the ranch soon we are excited about your
visit as well. Happy trails, Roley and Janice
SPRING HAS ARRIVED!!
What would spring be without the
birth of babies? Our lovely mare Peaches delivered a very cute
little stud colt in the early morning of April 20th. He looks just
like his Mama with the exception of his cute blaze on his
face.

Then on May 3rd, Melissa gave birth to a beautiful
7 lb, 4 oz baby girl named Taylor Pearl Peck. She is beautiful with
a head full of dark hair. We are all very excited for Melissa and
Ray.
